Lei Making

at THE VERANDA

Learn to make flower lei, which is a garland or wreath in Hawai’i. Leave with a beautiful handmade lei to wear or share with someone special. A lei is a common symbol of love, friendship, celebration, honor or greeting.

Classic Afternoon Tea

The Kahala’s new tea menu features pure teas, as well as exclusive blends made from high quality organic, sustainable local ingredients.
Tea service also includes Savory Sandwiches and Sweets Treats created by The Kahala’s executive chef Jonathan Mizukami.

  • Friday & Saturday afternoons
  • 2pm to 3:30pm bookings
  • Credit Card required to make reservation
  • Must pre-book and pre-pay via OpenTable
  • $80 per person which includes service charge and tax
  • Reservations cancelled within 48 hours and no-show reservations will be charged $65 per person plus tax and gratuity
  • We are happy to accommodate pescatarian and vegetarian options with 72 hour notice.
  • Unfortunately due to the style of offerings, we are not able to accommodate vegan, gluten free, or dairy free items.

Hawai’i’s beautiful coral reef ecosystems provide countless benefits to humans, fish, and other ocean creatures. Coral reefs are also facing significant threats and are struggling to stay alive. Both guests and the kamaʻāina are welcomed to engage and learn about Hawai‘i’s natural resources.

During a hands-on learning experience, get to know Hawai’i’s unique marine life. Learn about local conservation efforts & discover ways that you can help keep our treasured reefs healthy and thriving.
