The Kāhala Hotel and Resort in honoring legendary performing artists such as Danny Kaleikini, who for decades delighted kamaʻāina, international visitors, dignitaries and celebrities with their beautiful Hawaiian songs and stories that enticed many to return year after year. Today’s popular Hawaiian entertainers who proudly carry on that legacy will be featured during the “Memories of the Maile Room Gala” including Raʻiātea Helm and students of Kamehameha Schools.
A special dinner menu by executive chef Jonathan Mizukami will also be served, featuring a tasting menu of locally sourced and sustainable ingredients.

The event places a spotlight on the important service our “Keepers of the Maunalua Bay Community” provide in environmental conservation, perpetuation of the Hawaiian culture and climate resiliency programs from Kūpikipikiʻo (southern tip of Diamond Head) to ʻIhiʻihilauākea (western tip of Koko Crater) mauka to the Koʻolau Mountain Range and around the globe.
